Welcome to my fundraising page
Please support me!

Our families story is different than most but the end goal is the same-My husband and I were involved in a tragic accident which instantly killed my husband and caused me numerous medical problems. A year after our accident, my daughters skills started disappearing. Approximately six month later, she was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. This nearIy destroyed me but I learned that we have so much hope for brighter days!!! I am raising money for Rettsyndrome.org to help fund essential research of effective treatments and to find a cure for Rett syndrome.

Rett syndrome is a genetic neurological disorder occurring almost exclusively in females and becoming apparent after 6-18 months of early normal development. The resulting regression leads to lifelong impairments, including lost speech, seizures, scoliosis, irregular breathing patterns, and more than half of the children and women lose the ability to walk. Those diagnosed with Rett syndrome require maximum assistance with basic daily activities.

Treatments and a cure are medically within our reach…we just need more funding.

Please donate to this worthy cause so that my girls may finally smile and live in peace.

4/29/2015Dear Ms. Emami, I came across your late husband's burial site, as it is close to my father's. For some reason, just seeing his tombstone broke my heart and I felt compelled to find out what happened to this bright star. I was in tears much of the night as I read about your story. In some twisted way, it helped me deal with some of the anguish I am going through my life. I send you love and light.Niloufar Mazhari
