We celebrate Rett Syndrome Awareness Month in October because a State Proclamation from Illinois Governor Jim Edgar appeared in the RS Association of Illinois’ October Newsletter, thanks to the efforts of Paul Jochim, father of Jill Joachim and Paul and Rosalind Vargo, mother of Rosalind. Many governors have followed suit.
