Please join us Wednesday, September 9th at 4:00pm Pacific Time with Theresa Bartolotta, PhD, CCC-SLP and Bethany Stanley, MS, CCC-SLP as they provide Northwest Rett Syndrome families, educators and therapists an understanding of how to enhance communication in individuals with Rett syndrome.
Theresa Bartolotta, PhD, CCC-SLP will present an overview of the recently released Rett Syndrome Communication Guidelines and discuss how families can use the valuable tool to engage providers in using evidence-based strategies to assess and improve communication in Rett syndrome.
Bethany Stanley, MS, CCC-SLP will provide an in-depth explanation of how Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) can be used, with all types of communicators, to establish or advance communication skills in their family members. The speakers will include videos and practical strategies that families can implement to assist the individual with Rett syndrome at home and in the community.

Whether you ride a bike, scooter, surfboard, horse, or motorcycle, you can participate! Join as an adult, kid, or grab the family for a fun activity. Your support helps get us one day closer to a world without Rett syndrome.
Here are 3 ways to participate in this year’s Rett Ride:
- Virtual Ride: Host or participate in a Virtual Ride. Ride around your block, on your Peloton or stationary bike.
- Participate in the Gulf Coast Endurance Ride: Oct 3rd. You can select to ride 20, 50, 75, or the full ride!
- Community Ride: Create or participate in a Community Ride in your neighborhood, at school, with your church – anywhere! We recommend all community rides be placed on hold due to COVID-19.
