Hello,
My daughter is 2 and I worry about what to do and what will happen when that time comes to care for her during those special times. Not so much because, "my girl is no longer a baby" but more for maintenance. It was nice to read your post. I hope Bethany doesn't have to struggle when that time comes. thanks.

My daughter just turned 10 and is already getting her period. she has had pubic hair for over a year and breasts for about the same lenght of time. She weighs only 40 lbs and is 4 feet 3 inches. i was wondering if this type of early development is normal among girls with rett or is this just from her family genetics. my mother developed early but i still havent. lol. and her father has no living females in his family that i know of to compare her to. i just wondered if perhaps the community could tell me of your individual findings on the subject

Menstruation is unavoidable for nomal women, it starts in puberty/early adolescence ( 9-16) and menstruation stops when a woman reaches menopause (this varies 40's-50's).

Painful Menstrual period occurs to some of the women. It could be normal to some, though others have underlying disorder like endometriosis and hormonal imbalance. Sometimes the woman is moody, depressed feelings yeah and yes you need to understand her.

Hormonal imbalance deepens signs and symptoms of Pre menstrual syndrome, mood swings, bloating, cramping, lower back pain etc.

Don't leave her alone - treat it just like normal days, just show your caring side.

Sex, ask for her consent (though majority of the women don't do this during their menstrual period) and if possible wear a condom coz... it's gonna be direct contact to blood
