Bonjour, Buenos Dias, and Salutations!
This is the first ever get RAD for RETT event and I hope that you help us make it a huge success. The inspiration came from the daughter of one of my close friends, colleagues, and former dance company artistic director. His daughter, Ceyjon, has been a champion of Rett Syndrome for 15 years now, and is a constant inspiration. Ceyjon reminds us to be appreciative of the simple tasks we take for granted every day, while acting as a beacon of light to show that no matter what life throws at you, with love, determination, and a strong support system you can persevere and rise above.
As an artist, I am able to use my body and voice independently to create, express, and share. I wanted to use these things to celebrate all of those who are faced with a different set of cards in life, and I wanted to do this with all of my friends.
On March 9, come down to one of the classes offered and shake your groove thing. If you are unable to, please consider donating to IRSF, and, when you have five free minutes, dance. Whether it's in your bedroom or your office or you park your car on the side of the road and turn up the radio. Just dance.
