IRSF requests poster abstracts for two scientific poster sessions to be held during the 7th World Rett Syndrome Congress which will take place from June 22nd through June 26th 2012 at the Intercontinental Hotel, New Orleans, LA.
Translational and Pre-Clinical Research Symposium
Chaired by Jeffrey Neul, MD, PhD
Sunday, June 24th from 8:00AM-4:00 PM
The goal of this symposium is to present current knowledge in translational and clinical research on Rett syndrome and to encourage discussion on methods to accelerate these fields.
Basic Research Symposium
Co-chaired by Huda Zoghbi, MD and Gail Mandel, PhD
Sunday June 24th evening - Tuesday, June 26th midday
At this symposium, you will hear from investigators at the forefront of Rett research who are committed to understanding and curing this disease. There is a great need to push on several fronts including finding out all the key pathways that contribute to the symptoms of Rett and ways to manipulate these pathways either pharmacologically or through innovative therapies.
Abstract Information
There will be a poster session at each of the above mentioned research symposia. Abstracts should be focused on recent advances in the field of Rett Syndrome research.
Abstracts should fall broadly within the following five categories:
- Regulation and function of MeCP2, CDKL5 and FoxG1
- Pathophysiology of Rett syndrome and related neurodevelopmental disorders
- Animal and cellular models of Rett syndrome
- Identification or development of potential disease modifying therapeutics
- Recent advances in clinical research and treatment strategies
How to Submit:
Please submit your abstract online at worldcongress.rettsyndrome.org/Poster/call-for-abstracts.
You will need to specify which research symposium you would like to present your work at.
