Your No-Cost Outreach Can Secure More Airtime for Rett Syndrome PSAs
Over 95.9 million audience impressions already in less than 3 months!

IRSF formally launched the Rett Syndrome Public Service Campaign featuring Clint Black on October 1, 2011, thanks to a generous gift designated for this purpose by the Pioneer Fund of Colorado*. The PSA campaign, which directly supports IRSF’s Research to Reality campaign, is designed to be at minimum a 12 month campaign, targeting major national media markets. PSA materials for TV and radio have been prepared, and kits were mailed to 1,200 TV stations (tvaccessreports.com/rett/tv.html) and 9,327 Radio stations (tvaccessreports.com/rett/Radio.html) nationwide.

In addition, country music legend Clint Black and Jeffrey L. Neul, M.D., Ph.D., Baylor College of Medicine, and Paige Nues, International Rett Syndrome Foundation, conducted satellite interviews about this campaign on Monday, October 10, 2011, reaching over 2.9 million audience impressions.

The PSA has already received almost 43 million audience impressions on TV, and 50 million on radio. With your help we can reach even more to continue this critical awareness effort. Please access these reports, identify your local stations or locations where you have contacts, and follow the simple “How To Outreach” scripts to tell them 1) they have received a kit, 2) why you care to have them play it, and 3) request air time. If you are having an event, it is a wonderful way to link the event to a PSA campaign. Many stations will invite you to come into their studio to discuss Rett syndrome, and will also feature the PSA and your event or your involvement with the cause.
