My name is Larry Calderazzi, my wife Pat & I live in Spring Hill, Florida. Spring Hill is in the Greater Tampa Bay area. Pat and I will celebrate 49 years of marriage this summer. We have three wonderful children who have given us eight beautiful grandchildren. We have five girls and three boys. Our oldest grandchild is in her second year of college and our youngest are twins little girls of two and a half. I have been retired for seventeen years from Navistar International Corp. During my thirty-four years of service I enjoyed many executive accounting and financial positions. Navistar is the former International Harvester Company. Charlotte Grace is the second child of my son; she was born on July 6, 2004 and was diagnosed with Rett syndrome in May of 2007. I consider that on that day my wife and I became involved with Rett syndrome and the IRSF. For several years we have been actively involved with Grandparents Network and are Southeast Representatives for that group. We have gained much from both the Grandparents Network and the FAB. We have been active in promoting awareness of Rett syndrome whenever and wherever we can. I am honored to be one of the first grandparents on the FAB and hope to gain in knowledge this year as well as continue to make some small difference. I am personally committed to do whatever I can to help find a cure for this dreadful disorder. I continue to be very hopeful that one day very soon all those afflicted with Rett syndrome will be cured.
