Communities all over the map are hosting smaller walks and runs in support of IRSF. Whether it's a 1 mile walk, a 5K run or even a motorcycle ride we welcome your ideas and efforts! Check out these walk, rides and runs for Rett! These can range anywhere from a 1K to a triathlon! Whatever you would like to plan, IRSF can support you!
1st Annual eRace Rett 5K Run
The 1st Annual eRace Rett 5K Run was held on May 1st, 2010 at Burton Snowboards in Burlington, VT. This first time event was chaired by Michelle Boutin who’s niece, Payton, was diagnosed with Rett syndrome in 2009. With 67 registered runners/walkers, the eRace Rett utilized IRSF’s online giving tool – First Giving. There were awards for top 3 Men and Women runners! Special thanks to Burton Snowboards, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Fleet Feet of Essex, and Hannafords of South Burlington.

1st Annual Walk for Erika Miller
The 1st Annual Walk for Erika Miller was held on June 19th, 2010 in Dunbar, PA at the Sheepskin Bike Trail. This event was chaired by Bill Bryner, Erika Miller’s grandfather. The first annual Erika's walk was a huge success. 237 people came out to walk the 4 mile trail and over 500 spaghetti dinners were sold. Many donations were also given and they raised close to $10,000! Thank you Miller family!

2nd Annual Ceirney’s Ride for Rett
The 2nd Annual Ceirney’s Ride for Rett was held on May 22th, 2010 at Twin Parks in Brookfield, MO. This event is chaired by Chuck Wilson. Ceirney’s Ride grew to over 55 bikes this year and plans are in the works to make next year’s event even bigger and better!

1st Annual Kate’s Race
The 1st Annual Kate’s Race was held on June 12th, 2010 at City Park in Iowa City, IA. This event was chaired by Heather Kauffman and her family. Participants enjoyed either a 5k run or a 1 mile walk as they raised funds for IRSF’s Research to Reality Campaign. This fun-filled event raised over $20,000 for IRSF and closed with an evening of music and food at Wildwood Saloon.
