Jadynn, she is my precious angel and I feel blessed to have her. Jadynn was born, August, 17 2002. Jadynn was your typical infant, happy, chubby and healthy. Jadynn hit all her milestones normally like other kids up until she was about 12 months old. Jadynn had no interest in walking, she scooted all over on her butt!!! We didnt worry too much at first because after all she was HUGE, extremely chubby, we figured thats why she didnt walk yet, she was happy though, god she was happy. At about 16 months, Jadynn stopped scooting all of a sudden, she stopped being able to pick things up, it was as if she were unable to control her hands, many other things stopped and everything about our sweet girl began to change. Jadynn suddenly went into this shell so to speak, there was no eye contact, no vocalizations, just no response. It was heart wrenching to see and so confusing, noone could give us an answer. This, as we now know is called regression. Jadynn has Rett Syndrome.
