Katelyn,

Wow has the time gone by! Katelyn is now a teenager and loves what every typical teenager loves to do...hang out in her room and watch TV! Her favorite is still Disney movies, but lately she has really enjoyed watching the Country Music Channel. She attends school everyday and loves to listen to music; especially the country music. She also loves to go to the beach and feel the summer breeze in her face with the cool ocean water racing up to her as she sits on the sand.

We would like to make a toast in honor of our most patient and most selfless daughter Katelyn. We ask a lot from you. We ask you to endure endless hours of physical, occupational and speech therapies. We ask you to eat just one more bite. We ask you what you want or need, possibly 25 times a day. And we ask you to please just keep breathing. We know that you are there, thinking, feeling, perceiving and you tell us so much with your eyes without even doing anything. I can't thank you enough for being so patient with us in trying to figure out what you are needing and being so patient in our fight to find a cure.

And finally, we ask a lot of all of you, the donors. We ask a lot of your time, your efforts and your hard earned money. And as much as we ask, we appreciate more. People such as yourselves that say “no problem, sign me up” or “just tell me what I can do to help” are what make us get up in the morning and start asking all over again...
