Our Jilly

Jilly is our shining star. She brings joy to everyone who comes in contact with her. She reminds everyone of the important things in life. Because of Jilly we are better people. We appreciate things like the wind, the rain, flowers, colors, interesting sounds, family and friends…she allows us to slow down in life. Her accomplishments may seem minimal to some, but are monumental to us. She speaks volumes without saying one single word. You can see what she is thinking by looking into her dark blue eyes. They tell us what she is feeling and thinking. She has become an expert at this. She is an artist, a musician, a well known local celebrity, an ambassador, a remarkable daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend. Jillian is not even 6 years old. Jilly is our hero and someone we must fight for everyday. She deserves to have the chance to speak, to use her hands, to walk and to live her life without pain and negative side effects of Rett syndrome.
