Communication and Swallowing in Rett Syndrome: An Update for
Clinicians
This session will provide an update on current research in
Rett syndrome. Information on the underlying genetic mutation, diagnostic
criteria, the course of the disorder, and associated medical challenges will be
reviewed. Information on strategies for assessment and treatment of
communication and swallowing to guide clinical practice will be shared.
