Treatment of Rett Syndrome With Recombinant Human IGF-1 (Mecasermin [rDNA]Injection)

INCRELEX® (mecasermin [rDNA origin] injection) is indicated for the treatment of growth failure in children with severe primary IGF-1 deficiency, or with growth hormone (GH) gene deletion who have developed neutralizing antibodies to GH. Use of Increlex within this population has been studied extensively; while there are side-effects to Increlex treatment, it was found to be safe in this pediatric population.

The Rettsyndrome.org Board of Directors has awarded $1.5M to support 10 new grants to further translational research, launch the neuro-habilitation therapeutic program, and fund clinical research.
