The IRSF Two-Step Grant Application Process

1) Submit a Letter of Intent or Expression of Interest
The investigator must submit an electronic Letter of Intent (LOI) or Expression of Interest (EOI) through our website describing the project in a succinct manner. The LOI should include objectives and specific aims of the proposal, research design and methods, qualifications of the PI and other principal investigators involved in the project. Supporting preliminary data may be appended where appropriate. LOIs should not exceed 1-2 pages, EOIs should not exceed 1-3 pages.

IMPORTANT:
-The online form must be accompanied by an attachment that gives further insight into the proposal. The online form is only a cover page to give a general idea of the proposed work, it is not the full LOI.
-Post-doctoral Fellowship applicants must include a copy of their CV and that of their mentor.

Upon receipt, your LOI or EOI will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Review Board (SRB), who will decide whether or not to invite a full proposal. 2) Submit a Full Proposal
After review of the LOI or EOI, IRSF staff will contact the investigator via email to invite or decline a full proposal. Successful applicants will be provided with specific instructions to login, download, complete and submit the electronic application form.

The investigator will complete a brief online form to capture any changes from the LOI stage and submit by uploading the completed application form .

Eligibility:
-IRSF accepts unsolicited applications for all award mechanisms unless otherwise noted.
-IRSF accepts proposals from Academic, Industry and other Non-Profit organizations worldwide.
